Dr. Melanie J. Thakkar, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adolescents and adults to navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Her clinical background includes training at Advocate Illinois Masonic Behavioral Health Services and Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, where she provided individual, group, and family therapy in both outpatient and hospital settings. She has also supervised psychology trainees, reflecting her commitment to supporting the next generation of clinicians. Drawing from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and family systems perspectives, Dr. Thakkar helps clients gain insight, develop healthier coping skills, and build resilience. She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
